Super 8/video sculpture, 15min loop, 2005

Installed at Buildingscape, Zhou B. Center, Chicago, IL

An attempt at rebuilding and reconstructing through cinema (film, light and the “black box”).

Super 8 footage of Brighton Beach/Pier (after a fire on part of the Pier in 2003) was initially projected onto, in and around a transfer system box. This process/performance was recorded on to video. The video was then projected onto a black box in the corner of an otherwise unused warehouse floor as part of the “Buildingscape” show at the Zhou B. Center in Chicago.
